Toyota Landcruiser VX 4.2l turbo diesel |
Flagship vehicles comprise the 80 Series Landcruiser VX 4.2 litre turbo diesel station wagons. Mechanically and electronically simpler and more robust than the 100 series, all are low mileage, late models individually selected in Japan by former rally driver-turned-importer Chipper Adams, each vehicle being inspected thoroughly before for release and again each time it is returned from hire. Extreme ""Robs Magic"" high clearance suspension is fitted as standard to all Cruisers, TJM fabricated steel bullbars offer additional front impact protection to occupants in the event of a crash and specialist Goodyear MT off-road tyres complete this exceptional package. As with all BMS-supplied vehicles hire includes a tool kit, tow rope, fire extinguisher, jump leads, comprehensive medical kit and high intensity torch. Optional extras including winch, high lift jack, second spare wheel, roof rack, in-vehicle satellite tracking can all be fitted on request. Split air conditioning, power
steering and auto gearbox come as standard. |

Toyota Landcruiser GX 4.2l normally aspirated diesel |
For customers who anticipate spending significant time off road in the most extreme of environments, we recommend our GX-specification Landcruisers. Similar in construction and appearance to the VX, these lower-level models do not come fitted with the expensive-to-damage plastic exterior trim and body kit extras of the luxury VX. A 4.2 litre non-turbo diesel coupled to a manual gearbox offers stump-pulling torque in low range and these immensely tough vehicles are more than adequate for slow speed mud-plugging in the bush and high speed blacktop travel. Indentical extras to the VX's come as standard and all vehicles are again air conditioned with power steering.

Toyota Landcruiser Prado 3.0l turbo diesel |
For those who cannot justify the extra specification and cost of the big Cruisers, BMS owns a number of 5 door Prado 4wd station wagons. Excellent on-road performance from powerful 3.0 litre turbo diesel engines driving through stress-free auto gear boxes is coupled to the ability to mud-plug with the best of them should the need arise. Not as extreme a machine as the VX and GX models, the Prado is still a comfortable, safe and supremely competent vehicle. As ever, comprehensive extras kit comes as standard.

Toyota Landcruiser "'Troopie" 70 Series 4.2l diesel extreme duty ambulances |
BMS is shortly taking delivery of its second, brand new Cruiser ambulance, the first already having been deployed in northern Uganda on seismic duty and two more are scheduled for delivery in March 2007. Built to full Red Cross/UN-specs, these vehicles need no further elaboration and come as standard with stretcher bed, oxygen cylinder, medic seat, beacon light, siren and full length roof rack, plus all the usual BMS extras and are chaffeur driven. Further consumables, equipment and fittings can be added to customer specification with radios, sat phones and contract para-medics or doctors sourced as required.

Toyota Hiace 4wd 3.0l turbo diesel "minibus" ambulance |
Fully equipped 4wd ambulance purpose built on a late, low mileage Hiace platform. Whilst this model does not offer the extreme capability of the 70 series Cruiser, it is quite happy with medium duty bush work duties, including off road work if required. Supplied as a working first-responder trauma vehicle with larger diameter wheels and tyres to increase the ground clearance over an-already reasonable as-standard clearance, specifications basically as for 70 series and can be customised as required by the customer. 3.0l turbo power with auto box make for a competent, confident unit.

Toyota Hiace 3.0l turbo 4wd crew buses |
BMS supplies these in 7, 8 and 14 "'taxi"' seating configuration. The ubiquitous 3.0l turbo offers plenty of pulling power and 4wd offers ability to cope with all but the most challenging of terrain. Fully equipped with aircon, power steering and loose extras as usual.

Mitsubishi ROSA heavy duty 4wd crew bus |
Purpose built by Mitusbishi on their light truck 4wd chassis as an extreme duty vehicle for carrying larger numbers of passengers, these buses are capable of carrying 26 pax, individually seated (all "jump seats" have been removed) and seat belted in air conditioned comfort over the most taxing of terrains. Diesel powered, class-leading under-belly ground clearance and supplied with dedicated and experienced drivers, these vehicles are very rare and almost impossible to find in the region now. Completely stripped and overhauled each year on a rotation basis, then re-sprayed and re-tyred, BMS currently rents two of these on a permanent basis from Chipper Adams.
